April 2010 ITV1HD ? why is channel not available across uk I live in N Ireland and would welcome HD content given our big wait until 2012 for freeview etc some very poor reception areas here BBC1 and 2 are woeful at times.

When,When,When will you increase your channel base?
I would like to see sci-fi, Sky 1 and other non-information channels for personal enjoyment. I don’t have any axe to grind over the overall concept of free to air tv and I don’t critisize your focus on HD channels but you have yet to put the ‘meat on the bones’ otherwise it will remain skeletal.

Hi
Good to hear about the developments and further HD coverage but what about N Ireland viewers, surely it is known that this area is last for UK freeview launch. Therefore feesat should be on the ball with HD footie – pun intended. So do something about this inequality in broadcast as Freesat could rapidly expand here as an alternative to a long wait for freeview!!

it is wonderful to have ch 119.however of late i do not think the picture standard is that of hd most of the time.it seems also that the channelid itv 1 hd does not appear at the start of the prog.or as a continuing marker top of screen.this must all mean something and perhaps some kind technical person can explain the situation.as it is i feel a little disappointed. kindest regards. please reply to my e mail address thanks.

I have read several people’s comments about the Freesat user interface as not being very user friendly and having to go ‘around the houses’ in order to delete a programme/s. Is there anything the enigineers can do to rectify this?

Do you/anyone know when Sony ( pioneers of Blue Ray) are going to join Pananasonic and bring out a blue ray recorder to the UK market? I mean they’ve bought out several to the Japenese market and used the excuse of not launching too quickly into the Freesat market for fear of it not taking off. As they’ve now produced their 1st Bravia LCD tv’s with built in Freesat tuners, surely this argument is now void?!! Come on Sony, get your act together and start producing some for us here, and please please, don’t fall into the same trap as Panasonic and launch them at a prohibitive price!! I should be interested to find out how many Panasonic Blue ray recorders with HDD have actually been sold in this country so far, not many i suspect at their launch price of a tidy 1k!!
